Spotlight Quote

"Look, I get why you want to stay guarded, but I promise that you can trust me. If I was evil and secretly planning against you, I probably would have done something way cooler than getting chest punted across a grave yard."

C:AP Spotlight

Charmed: Age of Prophecy's Spotlight

Every so often I'll write a small excerpt spotlighting certain aspects of the RPG, such as a certain character, power, and storyline that has or is still currently taking place on the board that has caught my attention. This will be you guys chance to see exactly what were/are the creator's favorite moments in C:AoP and also the not so favorite ones!

Power Hungry Image

Wow it's been awhile since I've done one of these...but, it should be like riding a bicycle eh?

Power. Let's face it, it's all about power. Sure the characters of the role-playing game may thrive on the stories they're living out, but their players...their players on the other have a secret. They want power. And lot's of it. They want level ups, power advancements, and the oh so coveted power evolvements. The most power hungry players have even let this craving slip into the personalities of their characters.

So in this new, better late than never, C:AP Spotlight I'm going to run through a list of the TOP FIVE MOST POWER HUNGRY ORIGINAL CHARACTERS in C:AP's history. Don't worry, I'll be sure to mention why they have scored a place on the list.

Number 5...Chris Russell

"I have a new power..." He says lazily and then he sits up on the couch. He regrets his movements and falls back on the couch deciding to rest for a little while first. "I have an active power..." He corrects with a sigh and a lazy smile.

Envy is not a pretty thing. Of course, being one of the few characters with a passive power you have no control over can do that to you. Chris always held some resentment to not possessing an active power that could be used more creatively and freely, and it was clear he hungered for more power. Now that he has it, will that hunger die or simply increase?

Number 4...Mirella Raine

(Damned power. When am I gonna get control over it?)

Patience is a virtue Mirella Raine severely lacks. Like many others on the list, she oh so desperately craves that power advancement, but unlike others on the list she has actually attempted to force the advancement into the character in game. Although persistence usually pays off, trying to override a character's given power limitations only results in a power stall...not a power increase.

Number 3...Cannan Morgan

She frowns as she looks at the other spells in the Journal.

(Nothing like a little me, myself, and I, huh?)

Cannan Morgan used magick as though it was a tool. A tool to fuel her desires. Almost every spell cast by the Gypsy catered to her will. Selfishness leads to greed and when this one crossed over to team evil, let's just say she saw the world as her treasure chest and magick was her very own personal key.

Number 2...Vince Corinthos

He walked towards the podium making sure not to touch the magical book. He needed a place to remind him that demons still had great power, but just needed a great leader. He placed his warm hands upon the cold throne were the next source would sit one day. (I will one day own you and you shall be mine.)

Vince craved power all right. Real power. One of the few active evil original characters to grace C:AoP's history, he is the only character to successfully and stealthily de-power a Charmed One without being revealed as the culprit. He had potential, and given the fact he was one of the most powerful OCs in the game, he was well on his way to gaining great power.

Number 1...Hyde

(If this works…the Manor is going to feel a lot more like home, I never wanted a family…but if it comes with so much power, I'm willing to rethink my stance.)

Ev-il.
That is Hyde in a nutshell. The most power hungry of them all. Who could forget this demonic oriented, although technically human, soul's attempt to fashion an evil Charmed family with himself (at the time herself) as the figurehead? Hyde was dark, twisted, and downright ruthless; willing to do anything to gain great power and keep control of it. Although he used the circumstances of others to mainly grow in power, one wonders how far this dark soul was willing to go to get ahead...
